چکیده
Aerosol water content (AWC) significantly affects secondary aerosol formation and atmospheric visibility. Most ambient AWC values are obtained from models because the direct measurement is challenging. In this study, sequential aerosol-water system (SAWMS) was applied to measure at Xiaogang (XG) air-quality monitoring site of Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration (TEPA), located in an industrialized seaport city. The relative humidity (RH) set 90% SAWMS during measurement, PM2.5 39.0 ± 14.3 ?g m-3 on average, which 140% higher than monitored average concentration. Water-soluble inorganic ions (WSIIs) were analyzed offline used ISORROPIA II model AWC. modeled measured well-correlated (R2 = 0.85; n 39, p < 0.05), indicating that WSIIs contributed most During high periods, NO3- concentrations relatively higher, suggesting predominant species contributing Humidographs constructed analyze under varying RH levels humidification dehumidification processes for three selected samples. results revealed a significant difference between within 60–80% RH. This might be due deviations combination types mixing state conditions. close when over 80%. nitrogen oxidation ratio 0.60) throughout sampling period, implying beneficial urban area. summary, differences appeared below 80%, still necessary.

Water content of aged aerosol
The composition and physical properties of aged atmospheric aerosol were characterized at a remote sampling site on the northern coast of Crete, Greece during the Finokalia Aerosol Measurement Experiment in May 2008 (FAME-2008). A reduced Dry-Ambient Aerosol Size Spectrometer (DAASS) was deployed to measure the aerosol water content and volumetric growth factor of fine particulate matter. The p...
متن کاملA method for on-line measurement of water-soluble organic carbon in ambient aerosol particles: Results from an urban site
[1] An instrument for on-line continuous measurement of the water-soluble organic carbon (WSOC) component of aerosol particles is described and results from an urban site in St. Louis are presented. A Particle-into-Liquid Sampler impacts ambient particles, grown to large water droplets, onto a plate and then washes them into a flow of purified water. The resulting liquid is filtered and the car...
متن کاملMEASUREMENT OF D2O IN WATER USING 2H(?,n)1H REACTION
Utilization of Photodisintegration reaction of Deuterium, 2H(?,n)1H, is a precise technique for determining the percentage of 2H in tritiated and natural water. The 23Na(n,?)24Na reaction is a suitable ?-source for producing the 2H(?,n)1H reaction. Tehran Research Reactor was used as a neutron source for producing 24Na isotopes. The BF3 detectors were used to detect the neutron emission of H2 c...
متن کاملMeasurement of Fluoride Concentration in Semnan Drinking Water Distribution
Background: The existence of fluoride ion in potable water has distinctive effects on human health. Fluoride is attracted by positively charged calcium in teeth and bones due to its strong electro-negativity which results in dental, skeletal, and non-skeletal forms of xuorosis and associated health complaints in children as well as adults. Methods: Water samples from groundwater used for dri...
